~Treacherous waters~

*Pirate!Scotland X Mermaid!Reader*

The handsome male took a cigar out of his pocket,putting it in between his pale lips and lit it as his emerald green eyes scanned the horizon for earth - but then,there were only the waves lapping at the wooden lower part of the ship,the baby blue canvas developing above,stained here and there by cotton white clouds,seagul's screeches cutting through the air as they flapped their feathery wings in the salty air,the turquoise waters meeting the golden disk of the sun somewhere far,where the straight line was broded with gold and precious gems colours.
Blowing smoke out of his mouth,the male combed his wild fiery red hair with one pale hand,moving skillfully his stick at the corner of his lips,inhaling the called smoke deep down his chest - it seemed lullying to a person like him who only did to fight against other pirates,especially to keep them away from the treasures he craved - and those Spanish people just seemed to get on his nerves every time,keeping him on guard - because a single second of relaxation meant he could lose the battle.
What really caused him to go on without regrets were the rumours about sea creatures - those beautiful human like beings called mermaids.He swore to himself that if he was to see one,he would claim her for himself.
It wasn't the fact that Allistor was a bad man - he was good at heart for a pirate and so much different from them - but he didn't took any interest in the human girls he had met before - it always seemed to him that they had a major flaw - until one day it hit him - it wasn't the beauty they have lacked,but the purity he was seeking for - and only such a creature could be able to give him what he really looked for.
Fixing his satin black bandana upon his head,another wave of blueish smoke made its way out of his parted lips - his whole outfit - the plain white shirt who had the first buttons unfastened and the sleeves rolled up,the tight black pants which were kept up by a brown leather belt where he kept his gun and the matching brown boots which reached half way to his knees - he seemed more of a wanderer than an actually pirate.
Unlike most of the crew,his skin was soft and taken care of - a pale white which seemed to match perfectly his features.
He wore that smirk onto his face and the bloody red piercing into his right ear made him look even more handsome than he already was,giving him a seductive allure.
"'Ye captain,the wind is turning bad!Should we bring down the sails down?" one of the crew mates spoke,breaking the male's thoughts order.
"Ye lad,tell the others we are going to stop tonight!" the Scott ordered,at which the sailor went right away to announce the others.
"Still bossing around,aren't you?" the blonde teen asked,crossing his hands over his snow white shirt.
"'ey lad,aren't ye' supposed to go to sleep?" Allistor questioned,cocking a red eyebrow at him.
"You are a bloody wanker,big brother!" the British boy complained,throwing a tantrum at his older brother - at which the said male only did to sigh and ruffle his golden blonde hair only to mock him.
"Watch 'yer mouth lad or I am goein to punish 'ye!" the red haired male threatened in a parental manner,raising his palm into the air with a small motion.
Arthur scrunched his nose in disgust and went straight for the main levels,not daring to test his older brother's patience - though the Scott never applied the said treatment in order to punish him.
Throwing his cigar onto the wooden deck,he skillfully stepped on it with the tip of his boot,the last aroma spreading into the humid air before actually dying down.
The crystal clear canvas of the sky turned soon enough into a heavy grey one,announcing that bad weather was indeed to come - confirming that insecure feeling which smoldered into the male's chest,ready to burst out at any moment.
With each second that passed,the matters turned worse - firstly the heavy rain,the wind roaring at the ship's edges,causing some wooden pillars to crack and fall down into the deep sea,the waves themselves reaching high and violently cradling the ship here and there.The thunder appeared onto the dark sky,illuminating the crew's path,cutting through the air with a loud boom.
Another part of the ship cracked,sending the captain over the edge and into the unknown waters of the sea.
Compared to the infernal disorder at the surface,as soon as the body hit the turquoise mirror silence flooded plesantly the red headed's ears.He felt his lungs burn and his vision blurry and he even tried fighting against the violent waves - but water's pressure kept bringing his body down to the core of the ocean.
Expecting to hit the bottom and break into pieces,the said action didn't come - and Allistor could have sworn he felt two fragile arms get a tight grip upon his hands and drew him out of the endless labyrinth.

~Time skip~

Feeling a pang of pain into his head,the Scottish male grunted as he placed one hand onto the aching place,slowly but surely opening his eyes only for his irises to meet the white warm sands and the turquoise water lap at the beach's edge,kissing the shore.
But that wasn't all - there,next to him stood that creature he had always dreamt about - and she was more beautiful than he had ever thought.(H/c) locks framing her beautiful face,her lips a pinkish red and a pair of (e/c) orbs dancing into her orbits as sun fell upon her delicate body,making it look angelic.
The emerald green eyes went south,meeting the tender flesh of her chest covered with only her hair and from down her hips,she had a (f/c) coloured fin instead of legs,whose scales shone beautifully as the rarest jewels in the world.
"Are you okay?" the mermaid asked in concern,placing one soft hand upon the male's injury.
"'Aye!I guess I am!" were the only words which he could mutter as his green gaze still was placed upon her in ore.
"That's good!I thought for a second you weren't going to wake up!" she continued,sighing in relief.
"Thank to ye' lass!" the Scott smiled a sincere smile,wanting to sound as polite as ever.
"My name's Allistor!What's yer's?" the male continued,reaching his pale hand towards her direction.
"(Name)!My name is (Name)!" the mermaid answered,smiling herself cutely towards the human.
"Could you help me with something,Allistor?" (Name) questioned,biting down onto her lower lip as she felt somewhat embarassed.
The red haired male nodded in approval,urging her to continue.
"Do you think you could bring me to the sun,so that my fin would dry?" she continued,but before receiving an actual answer,she felt the fierce arms lifting her up and heading towards the sunny part of the beach.
Standing there,in the hot sand,as sun rays bathed her delicate body,(Name)'s fin slowly disappeared,leaving her completly exposed to the green eyed male,who got the hint and covered her shoulders with his white shirt.
Soon enough,the female looked as any other female in the world - still,that innocent spark remained into her eyes as she tried to button the last buttons of the shirt which left a good view upon her clevage.
Allistor chuckled to himself and headed towards her,buttoning up the shirt,a smile carved upon his handsome features.
Truth to be told,he felt blessed to be on an abandoned island with the genuinely beautiful female who tried to hide her proeminent blush with the edges of her sleeves,the only sound being the delicate lap of the waves as they hit the shore - but then,there was his younger brother of whom he had to take care of.
Seeing his emerald gaze lost into the hot breeze,(Name) felt tears well up in her eyes - Allistor wasn't the first human she saved - but she didn't care about the waters as she cared about him.Though she knew she had to let him go - the female couldn't be possibly that absurd to think he was going to stay with her.
"Don't worry,I'll call them for you!Just wait here!" (Name) broke the silence,smiling a bitter sweet smile before breaking the sea's surface,transforming once again into a mermaid.
Standing upon a stone into the middle of the ocean,she fixed her voice,chanting so that the pirates could hear her call from far away,guiding them to the captain of the ship.When the large wooden ship came into view,she hid herself,watching as the crew happily picked up their captain,a blonde boy jumping into his arms,tears staining his rosy cheeks.
As Allistor gazed towards her direction,she waved before disappearing into the depts of the turquoise water,leaving the red headed male somewhat empty.
Receiving the pearls which small sea creatures gave her in order to cheer her up into her hands,she gazed at them before letting them fall at the bottom of the ocean.Not a single gem could make her happy now that the handsome pirate left and she was once again alone.
"You know we aren't allowed to fall in love with humans,(Name)!" the Hungarian mermaid said,patting the female's shoulders in a soothing manner.
"Come on,Elizaveta!You love that Prussian captain too,don't deny it!" (Name) sighed,reaching once again for the surface as the night already fell upon the outside world.
Humming a soft tune to herself as the edge of her fin skattered droplets of salty water into the air,she watched as stars glimmered into the satin black night's sky,making her wonder if her pirate captain thought at her too.
But she dropped her hopes down soon,believing it was silly for a grown up man to love a sea creature such as her.
Trying to throw her body into the water,she felt her wrist being captured in a strong grasp,ready to protest.
But her struggle dissipated into thin air as soon as she caught glimpse of the endless pools of emerald green,a smile plastered upon the pale face of the owner.
Enveloping the mermaid girl into a hug,he planted his face into the crook of her neck,kissing the delicate skin with care.(Name) responded at the hug,combing the vivid red hair with her slender fingers,happily humming the song she started a long time ago.
"Ye must have put a spell on me lass,cause now I can't think of anything but ye'!" the male spoke up in a soft tone,his voice vibrating onto the small boney shoulder of the female.
"Of course I haven't cursed you!How can you accuse me of this?" (Name) protested,only to hear the male chuckle at her silliness.
"Allow me to reformulate!I love ye',(Name)!" Allistoir completed,gingerly pressing his lips upon the female's hand.
A blush crawled upon her pretty features,quite visible under the silvery rays of the moon light,but finally she nodded in approval.
"I love you too,Allistor!" the female responded,still in daze after those words left the male's lips.
Tightening the hug enough so that their bodies got one to another,the female's blooming breasts pressing upon the thin material of the male's white shirt,the Scott closed the gap between them two with a chaste kiss placed upon the (h/c)'s soft lips,at which she shyly responded back - but he liked it that way.
There were no words needed as they shared a loving glance,glimmering (e/c) irises meeting forest green ones,who promised protection and safety - which were the things the female felt at the moment in that neither too tight,nor too loose embrace.
