'Drabble #16 from 'All I want for Christmas' series'
The Hungarian female bit down on her lower lip in frustration. She couldn't bear seeing her partener,Roderich Edelstein down and for such a silly reason she could resolve faster than a blink of an eye.She caught her mocha locks into a lower ponytail at her back,as if she was preparing to support the battle of her life.
Peeking her peridot eyes through the half opened door, she could clearly see the delicate form of (Name),also known as her target. The golden yellow sun rays fell gracefully onto the (h/c) locks of the female, making her even more beautiful than she already was.The golden string of the rays which childishly played upon her head broded one with other and created some sort of halo which seemed to float above the oblivious girl's head - if Elizaveta wasn't to know that (Name) was an ordinary female, she would have thought at the moment that she was for sure an angel who got lost and decided it was the best to hide in Gakuen Hetalia's library, lazily turning pages in order to go through rows of phrases in which she got caught.
"Ahem!" the Hungarian made her presence known,a thread of insecurity crossing her brave heart.
"Yes,Miss Héderváry?May I help you?" (Name) asked, bringing her head up,so that her (e/c) gaze could meet the intruder's peridot one.
"Actually yes, there is something I need to ask you!" Elizaveta made a little pause, growing nervous, trying to balance what was to follow.
"That ring on your finger...Do you have a fiancée or something in these terms?" she broke the silence, swearing she could feel her cheeks burn with embarassement and the sound of a window cracking and falling onto her head.
"Oh,you mean this?" (Name) asked, removing the circle from her ring finger, twirling it in her palm with care - at which the Hungarian nodded awkwardly.
"It's a memento from my grandmother! She was a soprano,so she considered it was the best for me to inherit it as I am the only one who is going to take music classes!" the (e/c) eyed female explained simply, with no shake of her delicate voice.
Elizaveta knew for sure the girl didn't lie.Her voice remained the same as the beginning of their conversation and her eyes betrayded sincerity. And after all, what was the purpose in lying? Was she to gain something out of it?
"Well then, maybe you would like visiting the music room number 2 during lunch.Believe me,you won't regret it!" the Hungarian female excitedly said as she waved goodbye to the amazed girl.
(Name) waved back and her features brightened as her smile grew as a rare bloomed rose onto her face - but Elizaveta was out of viewshot to see that happening.
~End of flashback~
The female felt a rush of nervousness run through her body,as if it was for the first time to step on the stage. Her pretty (curly/straight) (h/c) was put up into a simple bun and kept together by a delicate silvery snowflake shape. She wore a plain (f/c) dress which embraced her curves beautifully, falling in small waves from down her waist, swirling, until the silky material touched the ground.
Hearing her name being called, she gasped for air, unable to breath a mouthful of it,as she felt strangled by emotions.(Name) stepped gracefully onto the stage, waving towards the mass of people in the large ball like room who clapped their hands frenetically at her simple gesture.
The purple eyed male stand from the chair in front of his piano, clapping too - a small smile playing onto his lips, visible enough only for the female.
Roderich caressed the material of his navy blue tuxedo upper part in order for it not to wrinkle, trying a few notes onto the claps of the piano.
Giving eachother a glance,(Name) sat right besides the piano, adjusting for voice and they both started in the same time.
Violins, cellos and an whole orchestra played into the background, the stringed instruments caressed with delicate touches of the bows guided by the assigned artist, but the center of attention was the pianist whose notes echoed in the atmosphere.
Roderich closed his eyes, rather feeling the notes than playing them, his hand skilfully caressing the ivory keys which emitted the wanted sounds - a symphony of notes flew from the shiny black piano, creating the perfect harmony between the other instruments which played rather soft and the delicate voice of the female.
(Name)'s voice was a mixture of serene and angelicity, her hands tightened in sign of pray,as the dim light of the Viennese outside opera fell upon her form, creating that special aura only a few people held.
The crowd grew silent, not even their breaths could be heard as the female went on singing that piece which seemed to be a pray meant to be heard by divinity - a pray in which the humanity's delicacy was focused, all the faith and everything that was good in them sent up to the skies so that they could open and give them a sign - which strangely, they did.
Small snowflakes started engaging, two by two, into a masterpieced waltz, causing people to look up at the roofless hall and see points of white coming towards them and melting onto their warm skin.
The serene atmosphere was soon replaced by cheerfulness, the piece done,as everyone clapped with more enthusiasm as at the beginning.
(Name) smiled to herself seing grown up people get so excited over small things,as she herself felt a pang of thrill run through her body.
Something warm was pressing onto her shoulders and before she could turn her head to see what was,a pair of arms wrapped around her slim waist from behind,as well as a kiss was placed onto her warm cheek.
"Vell, zhis vas unexpected. But it makes things a lot more interesting, doesn't it?" Roderich asked in a heavy accent, watching people reach their hands to catch the delicate white snowflakes.
"It really does!I mean look, everyone is happy! That is the purpose of our music after all." (Name) answered, placing her hands onto the white shirt of the Austrian.
"Ve should head home, liebling! Our little (Daughter's Name) is already vaiting for too long. And I have promissed her I vill play for her Stille Nacht before going to sleep!" the purple eyed male suggested, taking the female's delicate hand into his own.
"I guess that's a good idea!Either way,we can't let her for too long with uncle Gilbert and aunt Elizaveta, now, can we?" (Name) giggled, accepting the warmth of the Austrian's hand enveloping hers.
As they walked hand in hand, frozen tear drops playing above their heads,(Name) started humming a peaceful tune which Roderich immediatly recognized. He smiled to himself seeing how genuinely happy she was and how contagious her happiness was, thing which was grateful for.
He bent down to place a kiss upon her silky hair, his own coffee brown one glimmering from the delicate frozen stars which got caught into it.
"Ich liebe dich,(Name)! Immer!" the Austrian melodically said, his voice cutting through the crispy winter wind.
"Ich liebe dich auch,Roderich! Bis zum Ende der Zeit!" (Name) tightened her hand onto the pale one of Roderich for emphasis.
The capital city of Austria shone in festive colours, vivid red, golden yellow, navy blue and neon green lights reflected onto the ground, music playing at each corner,as well as people loosing themselves into the mass of laughs and chatter, different shaped decorations taking their eyes,as well the powerful scent of cinnamon and ginger which made their mouths water.
In a quite empty corner of a dim lighted street,a certain Austrain took hold of his wife's small shoulders, his lips gently caressing hers into a loving kiss which he held inside for too long.
