'Drabble #23 from 'All I want for Christmas' series'
The little (h/c) haired girl drew patterns onto the frozen window, watching the sea of white with bored (e/c) eyes,as she swayed her legs back and forth to keep herself occupied.
"Don't you think they are pretty?" a soft voice came, causing the girl to gasp in surprise and retreat her now cold index finger from the window's glass.
"No,I actually hate snow!I get sick quite fast and my mom gives me all those yucky things to get better!" the girl explained to her small companion, watching his curious baby blue eyes widden in surprise.
"Da,but the snowflakes are nice, aren't they?So soft and delicate, falling to the ground as if they are dancing." the blonde boy explained with a lullying tone, his voice a symphony of notes which reached plesantly the girl's ears.
"You are just as pretty as them!" he added,a soft smile painted onto his pale features.
"T-Thank you!" little (Name) stuttered, finding the hem of her skirt rather interesting at the moment feeling her young heart skip beats.
"My name is Dmitri! What is yours, pretty sunflower?" the Ukraienian boy reached out his hand, which the girl gladly took, sealing the change of names with a friendly shake.
"Mine is (Name)!Nice to meet you,Dmitri!" (Name) responded in a sweet tone, giving her cutest smile - which didn't remain without response as the blonde boy retreated his hand from her grasp and scratched his neck in embarassment,a tinge of pink embellishing his features.
Not knowing what to say anymore, the girl sat on the bench in front of the window watching the snowflakes falling.
Indeed, what Dmitri has said was true. The delicate white flakes weren't actually falling, because that was a harsh word to describe their motion.
They caught two by two in a dance the little girl has heard of,but never remembered the name,as she wasn't interested, the male snowflake - as she thought of as being male - bowing in respect for his partener which gladly took his hand and started dancing, swirling to the ground helped by wind, making several interesting rotations and schemes the girl found rather breathtaking - it was as if the whole world was a stage and the frozen tears were performing in front of her, keeping her mouth agape and her pretty (e/c) eyes pointed onto the scenery, the grey and navy blues of the canvas not being anymore the center of attention.
Trying to calm his heart beat a little,Dmitri coughed into his tightened fist, sitting himself near the girl onto the bench.
Of course he loved the landscape - but seeing the glimmering eyes of the girl,as if they were made out of glass and light made them even more bright, and how she was caught into such a simple, still enjoyable thing, made him overjoyed.
A long stiffled yawn escaped (Name)'s glossy lips as she watched the outside world through watery eyes, her senses twitching as the Ukraienian hummed a soft carol.Dmitri had a beautiful voice, the girl mentally notted as her eyes grew heavy, her lashes fluttering in defeat as her upper eyelid covered the flower of her pretty eyes.
Every single muscle of the girl relaxed, her petite form being supported now by the blonde's embrace,as he watched her with blue eyes sleep, his hand combing her (h/c) hair.
~End of flashback~
The female caressed the window's glass with a sort of passive motion, her index finger tracing the places where her husband previously drew different shapes.
A sigh escaped her lips as she watched with (e/c) eyes through the glass as snowflakes fell two by two, falling as if someone threw a hand of flour onto the work table, enveloping everything in white - the trees, whose branches seemed to snap in any moment from having to support that much, the doomes of the churches which profiled onto the coloured grey and baby blue canvas, the installations which brought the festive atmosphere to the paved streets of Kiev as their lights combined, vivid red battling navy blue and golden yellow broded with neon green.
A pair of arms wrapped around the female's torso, bringing her back from her long contemplation,a chuckle escaping the male's lips as he planted his face into the crook of (Name)'s neck.
"I know you want to go outside, but it's just too cold and you know how fragile you really are!" the soft voice of Dmitri came, his warm breath tickling the female's skin as he inhaled her sweet scent.
"I know! But can't I go just a little?A tiny little bit? It's not as if I'm going to break!" (Name) somehow protested, but in a soft tone.
"You need even more protection now,my beautiful snowflake.I care about you two more than everything in the world!" Dmitri explained, turning the female around only to play with the tip of his fingers onto her swollen tummy.
"Aww!Ok,be it!I will stay inside!Santa have better prepared something nice this year, because I'ce been very good!" the female pouted cutely, caressing her husband's golden blond locks.
"Я люблю тебе,my sweet (Name)!" the Ukraienian chuckled at the female's childish attitude,as if he refound - and never actually lost - the little girl who hated snow and promised to never marry a male who stayed in a place where it snowed a lot.
"Я теж тебе люблю,Dmitri!" (Name) answered, giggling herself for a while, realizing they have never grown up that much as they thought - they were the same kids back then, only that they were older and bounded for life - the golden band which embraced the ring finger of the female proved how happy they were and how they have stayed together through good and bad.
The jingle of bells could be heard from outside, shortly followed by a hasty knock at the door.
Opening the said door,Dmitri laughed loudly seeing his brother,Nikolai, his sister Anya and their crazy Prussian sibling,Julchen onto their front porch.
"Jingle bells, jingle bells...I am freezing, can I come in?" the Prussian female asked,as she had already got inside.
Soon, the living room, which rather ressembled a ball room, was filled with guests from all over the world, including Monica,Julchen's younger sister, and her best female friend,Feliciana who happily went from a place to another, talking to everyone.Lovina just stayed, minding her own business, periodically glomped by Celina or complimented by Annabelle.
Dmitri and (Name) gave eachother a sweet look, the Ukraienian bringing closer his wife, cuping her delicate frame with his large hands, leaning in.
Their lips caressed eachother gently,a sweet mixture of gentleness and love, the kiss as the delicate touch of the butterflies.
Everything was as it was supposed to be,peace taking over everyone soon.
